A quiz question blanks out the names of the term it asks about (internal/quiz/mask.go), but a term's names are all English: its label, aliases and expansion. When a Finnish text names the term in Finnish, the Finnish question shows the answer.

Cases in the glossary today:

Term Text Finnish word left visible
LLM example Kielimalli tiivistää kokousten litteroinnit…
VM summary and example virtuaalikone
Object storage example objektitallennukseen
Quantization example kvantisointi
DLQ example kuolleiden viestien jonoon

These were found by hand for a few terms, so there are likely more. New cards avoid it by writing around the Finnish word (Microservices and Monolith in #32), but that is a writing rule nobody checks.

Ways to fix it:

  • Finnish names on a term, for example "names": { "fi": ["kielimalli", "virtuaalikone"] }. The quiz would blank them and Leaks would check them, and the glossary search could find a term by its Finnish name too. The check could warn when a Finnish text contains one of the term's own Finnish names, as a reminder that the quiz will blank it.
  • Skip the question when a Finnish name is found, instead of blanking it. This loses questions but never shows an awkward blank.
  • Write around it, term by term, with no code change. This is the cheapest option, but it fixes only today's texts.

The first fits the glossary-first rule best: the Finnish names are useful to readers searching in Finnish, and the quiz gets correct masking from the same data.
